NFL’s Troy Vincent’s Travel Tips (Video)

I’m happy to see my former teammate doing well working for the NFL these days. Although he’s a few years older than me, former Philadelphia Eagle cornerback Troy Vincent & I were teammates in high school. Although my dreams of playing in the NFL were cut short in college, I’ve always routed for Troy because he was one of us who made it to the big leagues. One of the key reasons why Troy had such a great career in the NFL & continues to do so in a management capacity is because he’s very organized. That’s where we differ because if you looked at my desk in my home office is NOWHERE near as neat. I’m straight up living the life of a world traveling bachelor with smaller pocket change, but he’s traveling the world successful & settled down into family life. Good job Troy! I bet you he owns some stock in Zip Fizz too. Clever choice to include it in the interview if that’s the case. Troy’s inspiring me to be more organized….(looks around at my office) Ahhh well…maybe not. Hahaa!

The Colbert Report on SOPA (Video)

Check out Stephen Colbert’s satiric take on SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) legislation which, in all seriousness, we don’t support here either. We went offline like many other websites around the world to draw attention to the problem with SOPA & the PROTECT IP act. On Tuesday January 24th the U.S. Senate will vote, but you need to make your voices heard to avoid any chance that the PROTECT IP act or SOPA gets ANY chance of passing. The legislation threatens to violate the First Amendment, would censor the internet, and could threaten whistle-blowing and other free speech actions. For more information on PROTECT IP & SOPA & how you can help to make your voice heard, watch the video under the hood or click on the link below…

Robert Glasper is set to release his “Black Radio” album that I’m very much looking forward to this February 28th. The album will be an infusion of Blues, Jazz, R&B, Hip Hop, Rock, & a variety of other ingredients that should musically define what “Black Radio” should be.  A few of the songs that leaked early featuring Erykah Badu, Musiq Soulchild, Chrisette Michele, & R&B trio King let’s me know that this is shaping up to be a very good project. This EPK of Robert Glasper was shot by our homie Cognito who now resides in Los Angeles….

George Lucas Says Hollywood Didn’t Want To Fund “Red Tails” Because Of Its Black Cast (Video)

George Lucas, known as one of the greatest filmmakers of our time, stopped by the Daily Show with Jon Stewart to promote the new film “Red Tails” that hits theaters January 20th. The Star Wars filmmaker provided some insight as to why Hollywood wouldn’t back the film that’s based on the lives of the Tuskeegee Airmen because the movie’s all black cast.

Boyz II Men Get Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame (Video)

It’s almost a tragedy how black radio & fans today don’t quite give Boyz II Men the props they deserve. Recently I was in a debate with a young lady about the significance of Boyz II Men, but she tried to tell me that Boyz II Men were wack. I just started to think of how bad radio has become today for someone to actually say out of their mouth that Boyz II Men were wack. What she failed to realize was that Boyz II Men carried on a tradition of great male R&B groups who kept it classy & who harmonized well. There’s nothing wrong with that at all. Most R&B sucks today because there’s little to no love in it. Where are the great groups who can actually sing & harmonize acapella? What’s wrong to me is Boyz II Men just received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame & I feel there was almost little to no black press about this great honor that the group was awarded.

NY Police Officers Caught on tape Planting Drugs On A Black Couple (Video)

On February 11, 2011 the UPD pulled over two people on the corner of Oneida Street and Clinton Place in Utica New York. The video shows Utica Police Officers Palladino and Padulla allegedly placing something in the man’s vehicle. It is argued that this is the same bag he took from the driver at around 6:30 of the original video. One of the many reasons this video was posted was because neither suspect had any cocaine on them, yet felony controlled substance charges were given–at a later time than this traffic stop–then eventually dropped. The Utica Phoenix news website had crashed due to the amount of traffic they received in the first 24 hours after this was posted. Obviously they now have since moved to a larger, faster server and all should be working as it should.

Washington Redskins Linebacker Breaks Curfew, Stuffs Bed with Pillows

The Washington Redskins linebacker Rocky McIntosh missed curfew before the team’s Week 17 game and attempted to cover it up by stuffing pillows under his blanket to make it appear as if he were sleeping in his hotel bed, according to ESPN Radio.

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan then deactivated McIntosh for Sunday’s game against the Eagles, which they lost 34-10. According to the report, other coaches wanted McIntosh to play, but Shanahan had the final say on the matter. It also notes that McIntosh had been late to a team meeting, so the buildup of miscues might have weighed on Shanahan’s decision.

Are Blogs Destroying Hip Hop? (Article)

First, I would like to thank Jay Force for being a staple in a never ending effort to support quality Hip Hop, and get it to the masses. With that said, this article being my thoughts of how blogs are f$%king up Hip Hop, this article does not represent the opinions of Jay Force or any Jay Force related entity, but solely of myself……Isreali

Indeed the internet has revolutionized the world in the last 10 years that has forever changed the way we consume information. We need more and we need it faster, and in return our attention span has dwindled to seconds. Social networks and blogs has limited our capacity to focus, to hitting the refresh button every 2 or 3 mins for the newest post or latest tweet. Blogs, Fb, and Twitter is where we go to find the latest news (social, music, entertainment, political etc) in a matter of seconds. The beauty is in being able to on a global level connect people , build relationships, create networks that otherwise would never be avaible to create(or been much harder). However quality journalism and accurate research has been replaced by people with coneections, alot of freinds, and an opinion that their readers find enetraining (in which they cant wait to post a comment on) . Waiting to hit that refresh button to read the latest gossip, or the latest article from the random person who is in search of attention, thrives off attention, or in search of making a name for themselves. Steven Spielberg Says He Doesn’t Even “Think” About Retiring (Video)

It always cracks me up when I hear some rap artists & performers saying they are going to retire, but I’ve always felt that if you love to do something there is no such thing as “retiring” from it. When I hear an artist say they are going to retire I automatically assume that they just didn’t love what they were doing in the first place & were only out to collect a check. Steven Spielberg is considered to be one of the greatest filmmakers of all-time & at 65 he says that doesn’t even creep into his mindframe at any point.

David Banner Responds To A White Female Rap Artist Who Dissed Him (Video)

Female rap artist V-Nasty, who just so happens to be white, has been using the word “Nigga” in her songs & in interviews took issue with David Banner & dissed him in a song with the quote “How a white bitch more hood then David Banner”. David Banner responds to the disses on Sway’s morning show on Sirius XM. No need for me to write a long diatribe of my thoughts here, but let’s just say I support David Banner 100% with his comments that follow….More video below
