Luke Cage (Official Trailer)
Yes sir! September 30, 2016, is when you need to have Netflix or get with someone who does. The whole first season of Marvel’s “Luke Cage” will be ready for serious binge watching. The trailer teases a complicated life for the reluctant kick-azz crimefighter (the best kind, right?) with powers that make him seem nearly invincible. Check it out, and get you mind (and your Netflix account) right!
In this Marvel live action series, a street-fighting ex-con battles crime on the streets of New York as the Super Hero, Luke Cage.
Marvel Comics Universe Featurette: Chadwick Boseman As T’Challa AKA Black Panther (Video)
See? See how EVERYBODY… including the cast of the movie… had been waiting on Black Panther to join the Marvel Comics Universe on screen??? C’mon, Hollywood. Sure took ya long enough. But now we’re here. Great featurette above on Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa / Black Panther.
The cast and crew reveal the importance of Black Panther’s role in a featurette for Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War,” available on Digital HD September 2 and on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, Digital SD and VOD September 13!
More video, from Boseman at Comic-Con, after the jump.
Wonder Woman (Comic-Con Trailer)
The official Comic-Con trailer for “Wonder Woman”, starring Gal Gadot, got dropped on nerds’ heads recently. Kinda reserved about it so far. “Batman vs. Superman” left some room for turning up for DC. But will “Suicide Squad” leave viewers like ‘WOW, great spinoff!’ or ‘Mehhh… rather see the Justice League flick’? Time will tell, but the trailer checks all the boxes for a comic book action hero war period piece that “Captain America: The First Avenger” did. So, can’t hate on DC for not trying hard.
Justice League (Special Comic-Con Trailer)
Stop right there. I’m in!
I need friends.
Agreed, Barry. We all need friends, even Arthur Curry. Haa! Another super-powered trailer tailor-made for Comic-Con. Looks like they are going with the bad azz Aqua-Man for this incarnation of “Justice League.” Big screen, big action. Not sure it ought to be Batman out there doing the ‘recruiting’ but this trailer still manages to tease a movie that looks like it has merit. Take a look.
If you like it, you only have to wait over a year for it to hit theaters in November 2017.
Doctor Strange (Trailer)
Lotta buzz over a lot of trailers dropped off at Comic Con, as is always the case. Don’t let this one slip by you. Marvel is already winning in theaters, but this trailer teases a comic storyline never brought to the big screen. “Doctor Strange” got a mention as a serious threat to Hydra in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but to seriously roll the dice and make a whole film on the Stephen Strange character?
Yeah. Marvel’s doing it… BIG!
Marvel’s Luke Cage (Teaser)
So your hero can take a punch? Our guy Cage… can take a bullet (a bunch of ’em… and a lot of punches)!
After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive who attempts to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But soon he is pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
Suicide Squad (Final Trailer)
Okay.
So we have had a Blitz Trailer, International Trailer, Official Trailer, and we started with a mf’n Comic-Con Trailer for “Suicide Squad”… Message to DC movie-making powers that be… This better live up to the hype. Two years of “Superman v. Batman” build-up and many thought the movie was meh at best.
Wait ’til “Suicide Squad” though. That’s what we’re all thinking. And we are hoping it will be worth the wait. One final trailer. Come on August!
Interview With The Creators Of “Tuskegee Heirs” at AwesomeCon 2016 (Video)
Major COOL!
Full disclosure: The cameraman/interviewer, going by the ‘Big O’ moniker, is NOT me. However, I am kind of envious of him. Watch this Blerd Verse Podcast ep with the artists/creators of the comic concept “Tuskegee Heirs” at AwesomeCon 2016. Blerd Verse – as in Black Nerd Universe all smashed together. Get ready to geek out on these guys homage and futuristic reinterpretation approach to the story of the heirs of the World War II pilots, The Tuskegee Airmen.
(More disclosure: I’m from Tuskegee… so I am extra GEEKED about all of this!)

Suicide Squad (Blitz Trailer)
Oh yeah. It’s about time to end all the talk. Time-time-time for some action – “Suicide Squad” style! The latest tease from the WB Studios is called a Blitz Trailer. Whatever. Hurry up August 5, 2016.
Black Panther: A Nation Under Our Feet (Issue #1) [Video]
Watch.
Now, did you get the ‘tingles’ when it was proclaimed that Wakanda is a nation that has NEVER been conquered?? An African nation that has NEVER BEEN CONQUERED! Yeah, that feeling… it’s called PRIDE! Black Panther’s first appearance in Marvel’s cinematic universe – in “Captain America: Civil War†– just happened. But the real happening is going to be the Black Panther movie (and yes, Chadwick Boseman plays the lead; like in the movie). Marvel is not playing with y’all. Too bad we have to wait two years.
But Marvel is serving us T’Challa fiends out here, and catching novices on the Wakandan nation up to speed, with its backstory info-series “Black Panther: A Nation Under Our Feet.” Issue #1 above.
(This video series features Atlantic columnist Ta-Nehisi Coates, author of the rebooted “Black Panther” comic book series.)
Suicide Squad (International Trailer)
“Suicide Squad” is hitting U.S. movie goers in the head with the spiked bat come August 2016. Prediction. Scratch that. FACTS! And as you can see, this comic-gone-TV-gone-action-movie mega-cast epic is already an international event (leading up to and through its September 2016 release to the rest of the world).
Interesting factoid to chew on before you digest the new trailer: Harley Quinn is NOT originally a DC comic book character. She is a TV creation, “born” on the Batman: The Animated Series cartoon from the 1990s. Now she here! Now the whole f#cking team here, yeah!
Comedy: Jimmy Kimmel Shows A Deleted Scene from “Batman v Superman†Starring (Video)
Ben Affleck is Jimmy Kimmel’s guest.
Stop me if you’ve heard this one: Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne and Jimmy Kimmel were talking and… Ahhh skip it! Clark is Superman. Bruce is Batman. Oh you knew that, huh? Well, now Jimmy knows. Okay, okay, “So what?” I’ll tell you what.
Jimmy told Lex Luthor!
(And it was all hilarious! And sooo much more is in this clip. Watch it all the way through.)
X-Men: Apocalypse (Trailer #2)
Oh HELLS yeah! X-Men: Apocalypse is gonna be the azz naked truth! The familiar characters (most) from Days Of Future Past show up and show out for this one. Epic!
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
Captain America: Civil War (Trailer #2)
You know that dude that does the talkovers for the movies in theaters, always cool, always starting with, “In a world…” Well f#ck that cool sh!t. Even that dude is gonna watch this 2nd trailer for “Captain America: Civil War” and lose his damned mind! For real, dude would dump the script and lead with, “OHHHHH SH!T! OHHHHH SH!T!! OOOHHHHHHH SHHHHEEEEIIIT!”
The conflict ignites in a brand-new trailer for Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War,” hitting theaters May 6!
And you will holler, too, right at, “Hey everyone.” Guaran-damn-teed!! Hurry up May 2016. Hurry!
Daredevil (Season 2 Trailer, Part 2)
Whoa. Wait. WHAT? What do you mean that Daredevil Season 2 trailer we just posted on here was just Part 1… like there’s a Part 2? Oh there is? Daaaaaamn! And it’s rawer than the first. See for yourself above, and do what you gotta do to get ready for #NetFlixNoChill on March 18th!
Daredevil (Season 2 Trailer)
Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen.
Season 2 of “Daredevil” is gonna make it Netflix with no chill! Look at the trailer maaaaan! Are you seeing The Punisher emerge in the Frank Castle character. Witness an Elektra so fine that Daredevil can ‘see’ her! Whew, life is a real roller-coaster for our man Matt.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice (Final Trailer)
Know how when you want something really REALLY bad, and it’s kept from you by folks teasing you with it constantly, and your excitement builds to explosive levels and gets vented as frustration? No? Maybe? Yeah, you do. Do you think with ALL THE DAMN trailers DC is dropping for “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” that we’re getting like that?
Yeah, you do.
We are there! So, DC, knock it off with all the teaser trailers. Really. How many is enough? Oh… this is the final one? Well, it BETTER be good (don’t worry it is)!
Suicide Squad (Official Trailer)
We’re bad guys. It’s what we do!
DC is officially going at theater screens harder than ever. Proof positive of that above with this second trailer dropped for “Suicide Squad” (the one we posted from Comic Con was the first look; and this is the Official one). You gotta watch the whole thing… which won’t be a problem, because “Bohemian Rhapsody” music will hold you captive all the way through the crazy guitar break (when, of course, sh!t in the clip goes CRAZY, too)! This is going to be the sickest bestest anti-hero comic hero movie… maybe ever. Wow.
(Will Smith as Deadshot. Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn…work that ‘bat’ girl. And Jared Leto doing Joker incredibly. Yeah, get the tickets August 5, 2016!)
Deadpool Red Band (Trailer) #2 [NSFW]
While plenty of people were opening up gifts on Christmas day 20th Century Fox studios decided to deliver a gift to everyone online. That’s right they released the second trailer for the upcoming Deadpool release scheduled for February 12th 2016. The popular Marvel character is played by Ryan Reynolds and looks like Marvel could have another blockbuster on their hands. In this trailer we also get a cameo from Colossus so sit back and enjoy and let the countdown to February begin!

Star Trek Beyond (Trailer)
This Summer, once again, seems like it’s going to be a good one with the slate of big budget films scheduled to be released in 2016. The 3rd sequel to the latest Star Trek films continue to go where no man has gone before with “Star Trek Beyond” due to hit the theaters this summer on July 22nd with actor Idris Elba supposedly playing the villain role in this one. There shouldn’t be anyway for director Justin Lin to “Sabotage” this one. Word to the Beastie Boys
