DJ LV, inspired by Pharrell, is ‘Happy’ to be a ‘Daddy’ (Video)

Atlanta by way of Oakland turntable master, DJ LV, got inspired by Pharrell’s popular hit ‘Happy’ & flipped it into a song & video to speak on how overjoyed the man is in being a father. I already know there are many good dads out there even amongst my immediate circle, but far too often society doesn’t celebrate these guys enough. I guess this is DJ LV’s way of doing that for what Chris Rock would describe as the ‘Father’s Day, Big Chicken eating, unsung heroes’ who love & do right by their kids.

You will get that story about him and his dad pushing the 1978 ’98 Regency Oldsmobile through Montgomery and Tuskegee (Alabama) all Saturday… with that Robin in concert cassette tape in the deck. Guaranteed. Comedic legend on the rise. Gone way too soon. Gone but not forgotten. Especially if TVOne’s Unsung Hollywood has anything to do with it!

Oh Snap! Yes, the real President Obama – not an impersonator – appeared on Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. Usually it’s Zach making guests squirm and getting the overall upper hand; but not on the man Obama. The way this episode came off is nothing short of hilarious! The Prez even got in a plug for Healthcare.gov.

A couple of things are clear by now. Jimmy Fallon (1) loves Hip-Hop (especially from the 1980s) AND (2) loves putting together surprise duet sketches that make jaws drop in the happiest reminiscing ways. This one above. A remake of “Basketball” by Mr. Kurtis Blow (uh-huh-huh-huh-huh)… that he calls “Wastepaper Basketball”… featuring NBA Champion Heat flown in from Miami… Lebron James! Comedy: Omar Epps stars as a ‘Hood Black Doctor’ (Video)

The only thing I don’t like about this ‘What The Funny’ comedic skit starring actor Omar Epps is that they named it ‘Black Doctor’. Of course we all should know there are thousands of black doctors that conduct themselves in a professional manner & Omar Epps has played a black doctor on television for 8 years, but I’m sure 80% of ‘black doctors’ would be offended so I took the liberty to alter the title a little bit to ‘Hood Black Doctor’. Maybe I’m taking this all a little too serious I guess, although the scene in this skit with actor Laz Alonzo made me chuckle out loud though. Other than that try to laugh away….

MTV Cribs Retro Rewind: Back To Redman’s Newly Renovated House (Video)

One of the greatest MTV Cribs segments EVER was when the cameras visited Redman at his Staten Island home. It was one of the most memorable & hilarious episodes on television. As we now are in 2014, MTV Cribs went back to Redman’s house to see how he has now upgraded & ‘Beyonce’d out’ his home since 2001. Some people may have laughed AT Redman back in 2001 when his hilarious MTV Cribs segment aired, but when you think of the hundreds of recording artists who went broke or filed for bankruptcy trying to impress fans on the show it’s clear that Redman was the true winner even if his home is rather modest. Redman’s humble home maybe entirely paid for at this point. In case you never saw the original episode I posted the link below….

Rod Streater, who plays wide receiver for my favorite NFL team the Oakland Raiders, drops this hilarious new spoof of the ‘Beats By Dre’ commercials we’ve been seeing featuring athletes like Kevin Garnett, Colin Kaepernick, & Richard Sherman. Rod may not be waiting on his ‘Beats By Dre’ endorsement, so instead he’s promoting his new (fictional?) ‘Beats By Streets’ product. Check out how the Raidernation’s hero deals with a little girl going door to door selling cookies. Guess he ‘wasn’t trying to hear it’. Hilarious!

They need to just go ahead a make a movie out of this… Watch the outtakes above (and the finished sketch video via link to an earlier post below). We haven’t seen the new movie ‘Ride Along’ that’s currently in theaters yet, but its doing very well at the box office grossing over $41 Million over the MLK holiday weekend making it the number one film in the country.

Ahahaaaaaa! Down in Brazil, Chucky got ’em stankin’ up their britches, as my folks might say. Translation: Pranksters dressed an actor up as famed cult horror character/doll ‘Chucky’ and had him scaring the sh!t out of hapless victims waiting at a bus stop in Brazil.
A film crew set Chucky up in a hideaway behind a bus stop wall ad. Then they taped several patrons giving real life reactions to the fake mini-monster’s attack. Hilarious! Watch.

Ice Cube & Kevin Hart were on the Conan O’Brien show promoting their upcoming film ‘Ride Along’ that was filmed here in Atlanta & will hit theaters January 17th. In this hilarious skit Conan, Cube, & Kevin Hart ride along with a ‘Lyft’ car driver to get some weed, purchase a few 40 ounces, holla at the ladies on the street, all while trying to avoid the ‘po-po’. This joint was so funny they could probably write an idea for another movie off of this Conan O’Brien show segment alone. This is f’kn hilarious!
