Now, this is what we needed. Why hasn’t this been done before now? You think you know your X-Men? Watch this and see? Every X-Man… er… person… is covered in this Marvel character timeline video above. From the 1960s to today. Nice!
Comedy: Kobe Bryant x The L.A. Lakers Get Animated In Efforts To “Let It Tank” (Video)
Lake Show fans, if arguments for good franchise strategy don’t convince you, this ‘musical’ might. The Lakers’ season is circling the drain… LET IT TANK!
Bwaaahahaaaa!
Okay. The views expressed in this… aw f#ck that, this is funny! Watch “Let It Tank.”
Eminem vs. Cassidy – Rap Battle (Animation)
Boom! Eminem vs. Cassidy. This is fun. I’ll let you watch and decide if it’s lyrical sport or comedy or vanguard art in Hip-Hop or what. I liked it, so I shared it; because I’m that kind of dude. I will say that it’s okay to nod your head, laugh, cover your mouth (with the “ooohhh” sound)… all while watching. Hmm… just like at a real cipher.

Blank On Blank: Robin Williams’ 1991 Playboy Interview (Video)
“Comedy is there to basically show us we fart, we laugh. To make us realize we still are part animal…. So you don’t take yourself seriously and destroy the species.â€
– Robin Williams in 1991, as told to Lawrence Grobel.
PBS’ Blank on Blank series animates Robin Williams (RIP). The animated video provides insights on the late comedy mega-celeb via his 1991 Playboy interview. Sex and orgasm faces, world economy and government, film and farts as fuel in the future… so much crazy… BUT some stuff (like coming worldwide financial collapses) were eventually on the money.

Wal-Mart Could Help Eliminate Poverty By Sharing The Wealth… With Its Own Employees (Video)
Heartbreaking letter from LaRanda Jackson, a 20-year-old Wal-Mart employee who posted it to Alice Walton (heiress to Sam Walton’s Wal-Mart empire) on Wal-Mart’s “Hunger Games” Tumblr page.
I’m writing to you because it hurts to see the pain in my younger brothers’ eyes when we can’t afford food to fill their stomachs. Sure, they see that I’m working hard, taking the bus an hour each way to get to work at Walmart. Even though they know that things are tight right now, that our mom is often too sick to work, they just can’t understand why last year on Thanksgiving they didn’t get turkey and gravy like other kids their age.
But hey, what can Alice do? How could she help? All she did was inherit tons (literally) of money. Well, Walton family, listen to activist economist Robert Reich (above).
Erykah Badu Appears In ‘Black Dynamite’ (Video)
Crazy funny! From Cartoon Network and Adult Swim – Black Dynamite, Season 2, is underway; and Episode 4 (‘How Honeybee Got Her Groove Back’ or ‘Sexodus’ or ‘Night of the Living D!ckheads’) has not dropped the ball that Season 1 and Michael Jai White’s movie picked up and ran with. But this one has Erykah Badu AND ‘Bob Marley’ in it. Honeybee on ‘ho-vacation’ … that’s how the ep begins. But how does she meet up with Badu?
You’ll see.
Politics: Ed Asner Takes Less Than 9 Minutes To Explain Things To The 99% In This Animated Piece (Video)
Incredible work… incredibly infuriating to some politicians and the super-rich (oh well)… by legendary actor Ed Asner. C’mon son. Why you mad though? Asner was the voice of mega-wealthy Ed Wuncler on ‘The Boondocks.’ He’s one of you. Maybe it’s the truth in it all that is hurting you. A plain talk explanation of why things are currently f####d up with the U.S. economy, who’s really to blame, who’s enabling them (looking at you, money-grabbing politicians), and who is fed up with it all. All in a Schoolhouse Rock sort of animated clip (no music though).
Ha! Bet some folks on ‘Capitol Hill’ were shouting some ‘Interjections’ when they saw this. You know, some of them could lose their jobs this coming Tuesday (go vote)!
(And watch for Mr. Asner’s explanation of ‘Trickle Down Economics’…)
‘Mike Tyson Mysteries’ On Adult Swim | Episode 1 | “Chupacabra” (Video)
Bwaaahahaa! Mike opened the note and said, “That’s a lot of words!” Click play above and watch hilarity ensue. We posted the trailer earlier, if you want a teaser of the big picture; but go ahead and watch this ep of ‘Mike Tyson Mysteries’…
…you know you want to. Go on. Say you clicked play and watched by mistake… for 11 minutes. We’ll back your story *chuckle*
Oh… and it’s ADULT Swim… so this is not a Scooby-Dooby clone show you want your kids to watch… just saying.
Alchemist – “Shut The F#ck Up” (Not Safe For Work Version) [Video]
Man, hurry up and hit play before the powers that be take this one down, too. We put as many screen shots (after the jump) up to capture the Alchemist’s insanity for this “Shut The F#ck Up” (Not Safe For Work Version). It’s real short and NOT sweet… but should definitely pique your interest for the coming instrumental album “Rapper’s Best Friend 3” (due out September 30, 2014; pre-order available on iTunes now).
Blank On Blank: Michael Jackson Speaking On Godliness (Video)
“My singing… I’ll just say it simple as possible: it’s just godly.”
– Michael Jackson
The legend of Michael Jackson lives, in all facets, through things like this interview; animated for and presented by PBS’ Blank On Blank series. And part of his legend, is the well-known quirkiness inherent in in-person interaction with the King Of Pop. Even before “Thriller,” MJJ had his rules… like don’t stare or look him directly in the eyes. The rule/directive for this interview: Michael only talks to his sister Janet. So the interviewer, John Pidgeon, had to ask his questions to then 13-year old Janet Jackson who then relayed them to Michael.
Still, we get great insight from the session. Check it out.
‘Mike Tyson Mysteries’ Coming To Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim (Trailer)
I don’t know if you ever did… but back in the day, I actually remember looking around before I laughed at a Iron Mike Tyson impression; wondering if the boxing champ could take a joke or would go off and randomly whupp an azz or three including me. Not saying I’mo just go out like a punk; but back in the day… squaring off with the Baddest Man On The Planet wasn’t good for your general health. Ask any prize fighter he dropped on the ring mat in 90 seconds or less.
But now, with his appearances, movies and stage plays and interviews poking fun at himself and even his past, the world gets a different Mike; less Iron, more amiable. And definitely funny! But who could have known just how funny? Well, Adult Swim on Cartoon Network had a clue; and now there is a series to prove it. Spoofing the ever spoofable “Scooby Doo Mysteries” cartoon show (and its many, many reboots), the “Mike Tyson Mysteries” will be on the Toon tube very soon (due out Fall 2014).
Check out the hilarious trailer above.

Actor/Comedian Tracy Morgan: ‘Re-Animated,’ Reminiscing About Crazy Times With Family, And More (Video)
In a phone interview, actor/comedian Tracy Morgan tells UPROXX about the folks who influenced his style of comedy (from his dad and uncles to Bill Cosby and George Carlin). He goes on to talk about his current moves: missed out on getting to replace Letterman on ‘Late Night’ but Rio and Rio 2…hard work, nice checks! And ‘school lunch’ with President Obama? It’s kind of funny to think about; but something to think about though, right?
To punctuate the article, and make it more of a multimedia experience, UPROXX also shared a Tracy Morgan: ‘Re-Animated’ clip (courtesy of Comedy Central, embedded above).
Boondocks (Season 4 Trailer)
“We’re broke. Aren’t we, Grandad?” – Huey
The teaser leaks. So, folks are happy that ‘Boondocks’ is coming back to Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. Aaron McGruder confirms that he is no longer with the series. So, people are worried that the product will be watered down after we’ve had to wait so long for this…
Yeah. Don’t worry ’bout that.
“I’m gonna stand out in the middle of the road, in my draws, with this gun, and I’m gonna go out like a m#$%^f%$#ing G!” – Granddad

Blank On Blank: Ray Charles Speaking On Singing True (Video)
Interview by Joe Smith captured some gems in interviewing the late great Ray Charles during the writing of “Off the Record” (June 3, 1987).
“If somebody don’t like something that I do, that’s his or her prerogative. Just like it’s mine.”
– Ray Charles
Muhammad Ali Goes To Mars (Video)
Nobody does it like ‘The Greatest of All Time’ … then, now, in the ring, on the radio, on Earth, on Mars… Great PBS ‘Blank on Blank’ episode, with less animation but still an animated ‘guest’ in Muhammad Ali. And that whole ‘Mars match’ in this lost interview… was off the top of his head, with a girl in his lap! Talk about freestyling!
James Brown Knew How The World Worked (Video)
Another great PBS ‘Blank on Blank’ episode. This one features animation of an interview with the ‘hardest working man in show business’… the late great Soul Brother #1, James Brown! An artist known to speak on politics and civil rights, he also had a thing or two to say about late President Ronald Reagan. Watch. Very interesting.
PBS’ Blank On Blank: Interview With Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong (Video)
Okay, so we’re hooked on PBS’ Blank on Blank series. Great animation built up around a 1964 radio interview with legendary jazz trumpeter/vocalist Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong. Interviewed by Michael Aisner and James R. Stein. Originally aired on WNTH (Winnetka, Illinois).
“You’ve got to be good or as bad as the devil. … Even if we had two, three days off I still had to blow that horn a few hours to keep up the chops.”
– Louis Armstrong
