Action
Marauders (Trailer)
What is the difference between a question and an allegation?
An allegation is the one you don’t answer.
Boom! Classic dialog like that, a well-balanced starring cast, and Christopher Meloni (best known as Detective Stabler from the Law & Order: SVU television series) getting to the bottom of the caper… This “Marauders” trailer is teasing what looks to be an intriguing piece of cinema worth catching with some pricey popcorn.
An untraceable group of elite bank robbers is chased by a suicidal FBI Agent who uncovers a deeper purpose behind the robbery-homicides.
Deepwater Horizon (Trailer)
A star-studded cast, telling a compelling story that viewers do not have to ‘get’ to get into. Wahlberg and all-star crew did the do with this one. Summer blockbuster written all over this trailer. Hope it does the numbers needed with all the superhero movies out and coming out. A great action drama looms on the Horizon (yeah).
On April 20th, 2010, one of the world’s largest man-made disasters occurred on the Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico. Directed by Peter Berg (Lone Survivor), this story honors the brave men and women whose heroism would save many on board, and change everyone’s lives forever.
Oh sh!t… this actually happened????
Free State Of Jones (Trailer)
Should be really dope. I remember author Sally Jenkins’ appearance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart years ago… talking about “The State Of Jones” book (see that here). Great story. The trailer above teases a movie that seems like it will do the story justice.
Written and directed by four-time Oscar nominee Gary Ross (THE HUNGER GAMES, SEABISCUIT, PLEASANTVILLE), and starring Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey. FREE STATE OF JONES is an epic action-drama set during the Civil War, and tells the story of defiant Southern farmer, Newt Knight, and his extraordinary armed rebellion against the Confederacy.
Banding together with other small farmers and local slaves, Knight launched an uprising that led Jones County, Mississippi to secede from the Confederacy, creating a Free State of Jones.
Knight continued his struggle into Reconstruction, distinguishing him as a compelling, if controversial, figure of defiance long beyond the War.
In Theaters June 24, 2016.

Uhura, Scotty the Engineer, Ensign Zulu and the rest of the crew. Can’t wait for this to hit silver screens in July. Dope!
Darth By Darthwest (Short Film)
BRILLIANT! Are you seeing the classic mashup of classic cinema stories on display (above). “North By Northwest” (starring Cary Grant) meets “Star Wars” on deck. The works of Alfred Hitchcock and George Lucas… together at least.
Close encounters of the third kind for Cary Grant!
Darth by Darthwest: when Hitchcock meets Lucas…
Produced by Alfred Lucas. Because ‘why not?’ That’s why.
Assassin’s Creed (Trailer)
Man, Young Magneto stay working don’t he? Hahaaaaa! But for real, this “Assassin’s Creed” movie trailer is teasing a damn dope movie hitting theaters by year-end.

The Magnificent Seven (Trailer)
Yeah, this is gonna work! Denzel’s capability to bring new life to classic gritty concepts (exhibit A: his performance in “The Equalizer”), combined with some weighty co-star casting and that the target audience will be folks who’d like a reboot of the original “Magnificent Seven” movie AND folks who may not have even born when that was released… And the trailer is kick azz. Let’s go!
Director Antoine Fuqua brings his modern vision to a classic story in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures’ and Columbia Pictures’ “The Magnificent Seven.“ With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns – Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D’Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.
In theaters September 23, 2016.
Jason Bourne (Official Trailer)
Remembering everything doesn’t mean you know everything.
Goooooooot daaaaaamn that one-hitter quitter though. Sidebar: You KNOW your movie is going to be MONSTER when the trailer has an intro. Bringing the action to your doorstep in the best worst way is the super-meta mega-jacked dark ops amnesiac “Jason Bourne.”
Matt Damon returns to his most iconic role in “Jason Bourne”. Paul Greengrass, the director of “The Bourne Supremacy” and “The Bourne Ultimatum”, once again joins Damon for the next chapter of Universal Pictures’ Bourne franchise, which finds the CIA’s most lethal former operative drawn out of the shadows.
For “Jason Bourne”, Damon is joined by Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones, while Julia Stiles reprises her role in the series. Frank Marshall again produces alongside Jeffrey Weiner for Captivate Entertainment, and Greengrass, Damon, Gregory Goodman and Ben Smith also produce. Based on characters created by Robert Ludlum, the film is written by Greengrass and Christopher Rouse.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Trailer)
Damn! That’s how you close a book and open another. Respect, Mr. George Lucas. Respect! “The Force Awakens” DVD / Blue Ray released to stores this week… Now hitting us in the gut with the trailer for a whole other NEW film. “Suicide Squad” is hitting U.S. movie goers in the head with the spiked bat come August 2016. Prediction. Scratch that. FACTS! And as you can see, this comic-gone-TV-gone-action-movie mega-cast epic is already an international event (leading up to and through its September 2016 release to the rest of the world).
Interesting factoid to chew on before you digest the new trailer: Harley Quinn is NOT originally a DC comic book character. She is a TV creation, “born” on the Batman: The Animated Series cartoon from the 1990s. Now she here! Now the whole f#cking team here, yeah!
X-Men: Apocalypse (Trailer #2)
Oh HELLS yeah! X-Men: Apocalypse is gonna be the azz naked truth! The familiar characters (most) from Days Of Future Past show up and show out for this one. Epic!
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

“Ghostbusters” makes its long-awaited return, rebooted with a cast of hilarious new characters. Thirty years after the beloved original franchise took the world by storm, director Paul Feig brings his fresh take to the supernatural comedy, joined by some of the funniest actors working today – Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth. This summer, they’re here to save the world!
Girl power. We get it. But look though. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is right there. Why is Thor your secretary?? And where is Mjolnir (Thor’s Hammer)?? Hahaaaa! Seriously, this looks like a great Summer 2016 movie. Peep the trailer.
(Leslie will smack the ghost up out’cha, won’t she? She ain’t ‘fraid o’ no ghost.)

Bastille Day (International Trailer)
Consider this a too Black, too strong ‘F#CK YOU’ to the Bond movie machinery that said ‘hell no’ to Idris Elba when he was up for the leading man role. We’ve been knowing dude could deliver big time super agent action. Ain’t the movie biz funny though? Instead of letting Brit Elba do a Brit fiction, we get him as a CIA operative (read: American) in France on a mission in “Bastille Day.”
Wow.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice (Final Trailer)
