That Brooklyn Bwoy Troy Ave may represent heavy for his New York City borough, but he just dropped a brand new video shot in Miami & produced by a world famous black & italian DJ from the Bronx. I love when Troy Ave flows over the right type of beats like this one that the world famous DJ Kid Capri crafted. It sounds similar to one of my favorite tracks from Troy Ave called “My Grind” that dropped a year ago. In case you didn’t know, the street inspired “A Bronx Tale” appears on Troy Ave’s latest release “Major Without A Deal” project that’s out now.

Troy Ave – ‘My Grind’ (Video)

Brooklyn rap artist Troy Ave has a few joints that I’m digging off of his “New York City: The Album” project that dropped late last year. One of the few negatives I had when it dropped was how similar he sounds to 50 Cent at times on a number of joints. Even the former G-Unit member Tony Yayo appears on a track from the album. Despite these comparisons one of the standout joints from Troy Ave’s project was this joint called “My Grind”. Recognizing the popularity of this particular song, Troy Ave arrives with some brand new visuals to breathe more life into his album & to lure in more fans outside of the New York City area. The grind don’t stop.

Every now and then we get a song that makes folks want to remix the hell out of it. Looks like “Henny” is that song. Salute Mack Wilds. We already hit you with a remix of Mack Wilds’ “Henny†– featuring Mobb Deep, French Montana and Busta Rhymes. The hit has now inspired yet another artist’s jump into the mix, so to speak. Ted Smooth did this one – featuring Troy Ave – which is a banger, too.
(Nice incorporation of elements of that Jay Z x R Kelly throwback “Honey”. Troy was likely channeling that over the Ted Smooth selection. But if you want the real throwback enjoyment, check out the Bee Gees’ “Love You Inside Out”.)

NFL’s Troy Vincent’s Travel Tips (Video)

I’m happy to see my former teammate doing well working for the NFL these days. Although he’s a few years older than me, former Philadelphia Eagle cornerback Troy Vincent & I were teammates in high school. Although my dreams of playing in the NFL were cut short in college, I’ve always routed for Troy because he was one of us who made it to the big leagues. One of the key reasons why Troy had such a great career in the NFL & continues to do so in a management capacity is because he’s very organized. That’s where we differ because if you looked at my desk in my home office is NOWHERE near as neat. I’m straight up living the life of a world traveling bachelor with smaller pocket change, but he’s traveling the world successful & settled down into family life. Good job Troy! I bet you he owns some stock in Zip Fizz too. Clever choice to include it in the interview if that’s the case. Troy’s inspiring me to be more organized….(looks around at my office) Ahhh well…maybe not. Hahaa!

Hmm… I wonder if Flawless was this picky for his BET Cypher freestyle (see here). No matter, because under pressure, the bars were up to par. Flawless is fierce with the flows.
And he will keep sharpening that sword. As will the rest of the Rhythm + Flow artists up there with Sway that day.
The internet has been buzzing about Netflix’s new show, Rhythm + Flow, and today we welcome the final contestants, Londynn B, Flawless, Troyman and of course the winner of the $250k, D Smoke.
Not only did these 4 fire spitters talk about their journey on the show, the exposure they received and the advice they were gifted from each celebrity judge — but they also gave advice themselves.
Inglewood reppin’ D Smoke also opened up about his investment plans with his quarter of a million.

Check this short doc telling a different story behind the story of the development of the U.S. highway system. Sure you have to destroy to rebuild – a roadway to connect major cities, that allow fast traversal of the country in times of crisis – but we wouldn’t destroy neighborhoods to do it… not longstanding vibrant Black communities while preserving privileged White ones… on purpose… would we?

You know that pic you wished you had not sent? You know… that picture. Well, if you used the Snapchat app, it’s like you didn’t. People using the app send messages, pictures, and even video that quickly disappear, so there’s no pressure to look cool… or worrying that the receiver will have permanent “dirt” on you (think: angry ex with that nude Valentine’s Day pic you sent). If someone cheats and tries to take a screenshot of your snap to keep, the app notifies you. And in the realm of Snapchat, getting caught trying to beat… er… the system by capturing a screen image of what was sent is taboo. Of course, folks have started to figure out ways to save images without getting caught; so if you choose to use the free app, use care.

The plaintiff by the name of Roderick says he hired his former best friend Pastor Troy to perform a music concert at an event he was promoting. He says the concert was canceled because Pastor Troy was arrested. Roderick says he rescheduled the concert only to have P-Troy bail on him again! Indeed the internet has revolutionized the world in the last 10 years that has forever changed the way we consume information.We need more and we need it faster, and in return our attention span has dwindled to seconds. Social networks and blogs has limited our capacity to focus, to hitting the refresh button every 2 or 3 mins for the newest post or latest tweet. Blogs, Fb, and Twitter is where we go to find the latest news (social, music, entertainment, political etc) in a matter of seconds. The beauty is in being able to on a global level connect people , build relationships,create networks that otherwise would never be avaible to create(or been much harder).However quality journalism and accurate research has been replaced by people with coneections, alot of freinds, and an opinion that their readers find enetraining (in which they cant wait to post a comment on) . Waiting to hit that refresh button to read the latest gossip, or the latest article from the random person who is in search of attention, thrives off attention, or in search of making a name for themselves. With so much doubt surrounding the Troy Davis case it just doesn’t make sense how the state of Georgia is still willing to execute Troy Davis tomorrow. It really makes you question the justice system because Troy Davis could be anyone of any race, ethnicity, creed, & any other background.
