Janet Jackson x Daddy Yankee – “Made For Now” (Video)
Janet does dance music for certain, but can she do reggaeton right though? Of course, that question is purely rhetorical. Janet can do ANYTHING she wants when it comes to dance (or otherwise, in our eyes).
But just in case, she has Daddy Yankee on board for ‘back up’ on this summer jam “Made For Now.”
Jenna Dewan Tells Jimmy Kimmel About The ‘Good Vibes’ She Got From Janet Jackson Back In The Day (Video)

Janet Jackson – “Dammn Baby” (Video)
Yeah yeah, we know. Some of your people are still mad at Janet. Sit ’em down in front of this, though, and they’ll remember why they got to loving Miss Jackson in the first place. Why they can’t stay mad at her for long. And this is just one shot off the “Unbreakable” hot rock. Hot visuals for Janet Jackson’s “Dammn Baby.”

Janet Jackson – “No Sleeep” feat. J. Cole (Video)
It didn’t take long for the legendary Janet Jackson to hit us with a brand new video for her new single “No Sleeep.” There’s other ladies in the game doing it big in the pop world, but you gotta make room for one of the Queen’s of this game to make her return. Great choice of artist to include on this official remix by bringing J. Cole along for the ride as well. Dope! ‘Don’t Sleeep.’
R&B: Janet Jackson – “No Sleep”
Janet Jackson is back with a brand new single & it’s dope. Good music produced by her early soundscape collaborators of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. This is Janet’s first new song in 7 years & she has a new album on the way! Don’t sleep on this new joint!

R&B/Soul: Raheem DeVaughn – ‘Anytime Anyplace’ (Janet Jackson Cover)

Janet Jackson Appears on Jay Leno (Video)
Janet Jackson stopped by Jay Leno to promote her new book & she’s shed a few pounds. I know plenty of brothas may not like that, but she still looks good to me either way. But it’s “Alriiiight With Meeeee”. Props to Yardie!
Janet Jackson Talks About Low Self Esteem & Her Years Of Self Inflicted Abuse (Video)
It never ceases to amaze me how the majority of beautiful women tend to be the ones with the most low self-esteem issues. In an interview that’s scheduled to air on Dateline NBC at 7pm Sunday, Janet Jackson discusses her years of dealing with self-inflicted abuse because she thought she wasn’t attractive enough. Crazy right? Sheehz!
Blank On Blank: Michael Jackson Speaking On Godliness (Video)
“My singing… I’ll just say it simple as possible: it’s just godly.”
– Michael Jackson
The legend of Michael Jackson lives, in all facets, through things like this interview; animated for and presented by PBS’ Blank On Blank series. And part of his legend, is the well-known quirkiness inherent in in-person interaction with the King Of Pop. Even before “Thriller,” MJJ had his rules… like don’t stare or look him directly in the eyes. The rule/directive for this interview: Michael only talks to his sister Janet. So the interviewer, John Pidgeon, had to ask his questions to then 13-year old Janet Jackson who then relayed them to Michael.
Still, we get great insight from the session. Check it out.
State Of The Culture: Season 2, Episode 11 (Video)
You know what. There is some good, DOPE media being made out here nowadays. Not huge in scale, so some (read: many) might miss it. But I am watching, and highlighting it as I come across it. Much richer than a ‘Black Entertainment Tonight’… This episode of State Of The Culture is epic. Plus, the eye candy on the bookends (Eboni K. Williams & Remy Ma though… mm mm MM)!
On the 11th episode of Season 2, Joe Budden and co-hosts Remy Ma, Jinx & Eboni K. Williams sound off on the following topics: Kobe Bryant’s Legacy (6:42), Wendy Williams (34:19), Community heroes (39:20), Oscar’s diversity (40:45), Janet Jackson (50:40), Lil Wayne’s album ‘Funeral’ (54:12), Drake (56:32), Quentin Miller (59:58), Lil Pump retiring (1:04:37), Jussie Smollett being indicted (1:05:11), Who Said That? Eye Candy: Sofia Jamora (Video)
On Facebook, I saw some ‘disturbing’ comments on some footage included in this extended clip. It was stern criticism of this buxom beauty’s bouncy runway walk. If you see cause for criticism when watching this… YOU can take a walk. Come back in an hour. We will have something else up for you to enjoy.
(Waiting for haters to leave.)
Okay, for the rest of us sane (and admittedly ‘thirsty’) folks… Woooohoooo cot DAM! Sofia Jamora gots what I need AND she has enough to share with y’all. So let’s all enjoy a taste of this Honey. And, by the way, that strut of hers, to quote the lovely Janet Jackson, is ‘alright with ME!’

Rockwilder Shares Beats And Wisdom That Will Make Your Head Nod In Agreement (Video)
“If the song don’t got a groove, you don’t got a song.”
Wow. Rockwilder speaking on wisdom from Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis back when he was there when they were making the world fall in love with Janet Jackson. Beatminerz, Pete Rock, and several other big-name mentors’ names and lessons getting dropped off in this clip. Great episode!
In association with DITV, DITC Studios presents ‘Beats Per Minute’ featuring Rockwilder.
Protect your neck though, as there will be lots of head nodding to banging beat flips in the beginning!
Elle Pierre – “Give It Up†(Prod. By GTW) [Video]
Lynwood’s (California, USA) singing/songwriting sista Elle Pierre draws from a musical background in gospel, jazz and soul… and nostalgic ’90s music… and Erykah Badu, Marsha Ambrosius, Janet Jackson, Faith Evans… Well, yeah, such musical diversity is what she is from and what she brought to New York and to her journey through the music landscape. So, now you have some insight on this Afro-House ditty “Give It Up†(produced by GTW) she has this video out for. Cool, right? Enjoy.
Wale – “The Girls On Drugs” (Video)
Wale’s latest single ‘Girls On Drugs’, off of his latest project ‘The Album About Nothing’, is a joint that I’ve been digging lately. A part of it has to do with the creative use of the sampled hook on Janet Jackson’s hit record ‘Go Deep’ from her 1997 album “Velvet Rope” . Another great aspect of Wale’s song is the cautionary tale about women who get too caught up into the party lifestyle. Overall the song just sounds good & the video has a great message. Check out the video above & for those who want to flashback almost 20 years we’ve posted Janet’s classic video & song after the jump below.

Sharaya J – “Takin’ It No More” / “Shut It Down” (Video)
It’s like Missy Elliott puts a stamp on her work. You can tell when she drops a hit, writes a hit for someone else… or directs and exec produces visuals complete with some of the most stunning choreography! You know, like she does for the Sharaya J “Takin’ It No More” / “Shut It Down” video two-fer above.
(Think Sharaya is leaning on Missy to get/keep her position? Nah… her father was a member of 90’s Hip-Hop group Double XX Posse; so the pedigree is already there. Learn more about the up-n-comer after the jump.)
