It’s been a thunderous early Thursday morning in more ways than one….Massive tornados & thunder storms across the southern U.S. & even the OKC Thunder whipped up on the Denver Nuggets in the NBA playoffs. I can go on with the ‘Thunderous Tornado-like’ comparisons but I’ll just stop there. Time for the BLITZ! Fly into it…..

Immortals (2011 Movie Trailer)

I guess I didn’t see this one coming under the deluge of films slated to be released this Summer 2011. This upcoming ‘Immortals’ film is due for a November 2011 release. The makers of the popular ‘300’ movie turn to Greek mythology to see if Zeus will allow lightning to strike twice. I noticed they casted that sexy chick Freida Pinto from the Slumdog Millionaire movie in this film too. Overall I’m not sure about this one, but even ‘300’ was slept on at first until people went to the theaters to see it was good. We’ll see how the Greek Gods favor on this one……..

Good to see Self Scientific release a a brand new project after years of separation. Chace Infinite has been dropping various freestyles here & there in addition to working with his Soul Assassins family, while DJ Khalil has been crafting audio crack for many other emcees in the game from Raekwon, Dr. Dre, Jim Jones, & a host of others. Its’ about time Chace & Khalil reconnected. We needed this from the two man group considering I’m still occasionally bumping their Gods & Gangsters project from time to time. Mansions On The Moon – ‘Darkness’ (Video)

The trio of Lane Shaw, Ted Wendler, & Ben Hazlegrove make up one of the most promising new bands on the rise by the name of ‘Mansions On The Moon.’ I became a fan of Mansions On The Moon’s work after finding their music & videos on the web over the last year or two. Since then I’ve had ‘Magic’, ‘She Makes Me Feel’, & ‘Glimpse Of The Future’ (Xaphoon Jones Remix) on repeat on the ipod many times throughout the year. From what I understand the group spent a great deal of time here in Atlanta recording & working with many other established artists in the music industry before coming up with their own signature sound. They’ve been on the road touring with Wiz Khalifa heavily & are now poised to drop their official debut album that they recorded within 7 days in Los Angeles. I’m hoping they continue to create more of the same ‘Magic’ on the full length debut that they did with many of these early leaks.

It seems like everyday there’s some rare footage of Tupac popping up on the web. Check out this newly released footage of Tupac during a photoshoot for his ‘Makaveli’ album. Oddly enough this particular photoshoot seemed kinda suspect to me with the photographer’s assistant moving the jewelry around Pac’s private area in the bathtub. If I was ‘Pac I wouldn’t have agreed to this bathtub shot. Fugazi. But then again who am I to criticize….I’m not a hip hop legend.

Chris Paul Covers Sports Illustrated

Chris Paul did the damn thing against the Lakers on Sunday night. Sports Illustrated recognized his efforts by placing him on the latest cover of the magazine. The New Orleans Hornets tied up the series against the Lakers 2-2 Sunday night & will travel to Los Angeles this evening to continue the series. Not even Chris Paul’s momma was gonna stop him from gettin’ it in last Sunday night….Pause
