Nas x Damian Marley – ‘Land Of Promise’ feat. Dennis Brown (Video)
Man I’m glad Nas & Damian Marley are dropping videos to some of my favorite songs from their Distant Relatives album. They are showing artists how you work an album for about a year or more simply by dropping a new video for each track in a well spaced time period throughout the year.
Flashback: Lil Wayne Kissing Birdman On Rap City May 2002 (Video)
I remember seeing this when it first aired with Lil Wayne & Baby kissing on national television. I was caught off guard & when I told people who missed this episode of BET’s Rap City they didn’t believe me. With everything going on with DJ Mister Cee as of late I’m wondering if more gay rappers or entertainers will eventually be forced out come out of the closet. SHEEHZ!
Phonte Talks About 9th Wonder & Mending Their Friendship (Video)
Glad to see Phonte & 9th Wonder have mended their friendship above all else. When I interviewed Phonte during the time when they were not on speaking terms it sounded like he really missed that friendship although he didn’t admit it at the time. Feels good to see they are putting the pieces back together again….
Tommy Nova – ‘Making Up Time’ (Video)
The homie Tommy Nova has been riding a great wave & is continuing to elevate his status in the game one step at a time. The producer & emcee has three tracks on Raekwon’s new album ‘Shaolin Vs. Wu-Tang’, he dropped a dope mixtape/street album ‘Chozen One Part 2’, & released the latest visuals today for this self-produced & directed clip ‘Making Up Time’. It’s a ‘Matter Of Time’ before more hip hop heads start recognizing his talents like Raekwon & many other artists & industry cats have been doing for a minute now.
Green Lantern Movie Sneak Preview Footage (Video)
Starring Ryan Reynolds as ‘Green Lantern’ but I’m also surprised to see that Angela Bassett has a role in the upcoming 3D film due in theaters June 17th. It would be a definite good look if the creators found a way to get ‘DJ Green Lantern’ involved with the film in some way.

Legendary DJ ‘Mister Cee’ Alleged Arrest For Public Lewdness In Gay Sex Act With A Male Prostitute
I recall radio show host Wendy Williams calling Mr. Cee out on air years ago for alleged bisexual behavior with trannies & when I heard this story immediately I thought of her allegations from a few years back. I even had the audio of that allegation & I’m scrambling to find it at the moment. Here’s what’s being said from a few sources….
“Although some bloggers are claiming the story is a hoax, the New York court system’s web site confirms that Calvin Lebrun aka DJ Mister Cee was arrested last week on charges of public lewdness. Evidently DJ Mister Cee, who works for New York City’s Hot 97, was picked up for having sex with another 20-year-old man in public. The two men were evidently arrested in Manhattan’s West Village, an area known by police where men participate in gay sex in public. Cops say they caught the younger man performing oral sex on DJ Mister Cee at Watt and West Streets. ”

Kanye West Headlines The Lollapalooza Tour In Chile (Video)
This is just another example of how I keep telling people that Kanye West is a bigger artist internationally than Jay-Z. I’ve travelled around the world enough to see it first hand in multiple countries. In this video above Kanye headlines a recent show for Lollapalooza down in South America with Pusha T in tow. The crowd is singing Kanye’s songs word for word down there in Chile & they don’t even speak english as their primary language. Anyone who’s travelled the world enough will tell you that around the globe the two biggest hip hop artists are Kanye West & Eminem. Both 50 Cent & Snoop Dogg would also edge out Jay-Z in terms of Global popularity. Jay-Z opened up for U2 in Australia a few months back & couldn’t even get the stadium a quarter full during his set. Check out more video from the show under the hood & watch how Kanye has the crowd ROCKIN!!!!
Pete Rock & Smif N Wessun Dropping New Album Called “Monumental’ Due June 28th (Video)
Now this is an album I’m most definitely looking forward to listening to….. Pete Rock?! Smif N Wessun?! To be perfectly honest I never thought Smif N Wessun were slacking with the lyrics, but I’ve felt they needed the best production possible from future projects. This is gonna be good Monumental
Raekwon – ‘Ferryboat Killaz’ (Trailer)
I rarely post trailers to music videos, but I was diggin’ some of the visuals for this one & thought… why not? It’s Raekwon too so that’s even more incentive to do so.
Apollo Brown – ‘Time Passed Autumn’ (Video)
Detroit producer Apollo Brown drops a video directed by himself in support of the single ‘Time Passed Autum’ which appears on his latest instrumental based album ‘Clouds’ that’s available on itunes now!
Capo: A Closer Look At Artist & Director Jim Jones (Video)
I’m a Jim Jones fan. I may not like EVERY song he’s released, but I’m still a fan. I think a few of the reasons I’m a fan of Jim Jones is seeing his progression as a music video director & also his tenacity as an artist in the music business. Above all else Jim Jones is good in his general interactions with all types of people from what I’ve observed over the years. He has that similar charisma that Snoop Dogg has in dealing with various types of people. I believe one of things that makes Jim Jones a star is this personality of his when in these more intimate settings among various groups of individuals. Although this clip is short I believe it sort of captures who Jim Jones is a little more beyond the amplified persona.

The new movie starring Will Ferrell ‘Everything Must Go’ debuts in theaters on May 13th. Good to see the kid has a potentially incredible acting career ahead of him….
