Embassy Music Board – The 400 Lounge (Mixtape)

Embassy Music Board has been doing their thing in Atlanta for a minute & taking their time to put out the right records at just the right time. The Atlanta natives with caribbean influences/backgrounds have been able to weave in & out of a variety of sounds rather than relying on the popular 808 beat tracks that most new southern rap artists tend to gravitate towards in search of immediate mainstream acceptance. The last time the EMB brothas appeared on my radio show they stressed the importance of the right timing & pushing the correct records. I had been playing the ‘Dead Music’ track on the show but they didn’t just randomly give away too much on the internet beyond that song before the entire project was ready. Evidently the new project is poised to be served up for the fans with the help of Don Cannon on this DJ version of the new mixtape in conjunction with DJBooth.net. Shout out to the Detroit young bulls the ‘Clear Soul Forces’ who just dropped this new video for ‘Gon Get Em’ off of their latest EP. These young cats are poised to win because they aren’t afraid to do what they need to do to be heard. I had them on my radio show sometime last year & they literally scrounged up enough money to drive from Detroit & make their way to Atlanta just for interviews. Now that’s what I call drive! Any success these guys get they truly deserve it & I’ll continue to support. Â There couldn’t be an anymore appropriate title for their new EP than ‘The Departure’ because they just keep going!

Suge Knight Gets Into A Fist Fight In A Las Vegas Casino (Video)

TMZ is reporting that Suge Knight got into a fist fight with a man at the Aria Casino hotel last Saturday night. The scuffle was brief before hotel security eventually stepped in. Neither Suge Knight or the man in the video were arrested.

R.I.P: Nate Dogg Dies At 41

Nathaniel D. Hale, known in the music industry as Nate Dogg, died Tuesday according to announcement made by his family. The crooner with arguably one of the most memorable voices of the last 20 years succumbed to health complications at the age of 41. Nate Dogg was a part of the soundtrack to our lives often appearing on a long list of popular hits with friends & associates such as Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Tupac, 50 Cent, Mos Def, Eminem, Jay-Z, The Game, Shaquille O’neal, Ludacris, Pharoahe Monch, Freeway, Brian McKnight, DJ Quik, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Kurupt, & many more.

Video Model: ‘Shakur’ Handles Her Business In More Ways Than One (Video)

It’s interesting to see Shakur start doing her thing as a video model. We first met Shakur a couple of years ago in Atlanta while doing our former Sirius XM satellite show at my homie DJ Rasta Root’s studio. At the time we were interviewing her homegirl video vixen Dollicia Bryant & Shakur was just the friend tagging along but seemed more like her manager. Shakur definitely seems like the type of woman that was not only about her business but we were also surprised to see that she is also an emcee. She hit us with a number of bars in the studio that completely took us off guard. Who knew this Egyptian shorty would eventually flip the script & jump into the modeling thing too. She made it on King Magazine not too long ago & her modeling thing is taking off it seems but its only a matter of time before she spins it into something else. Good for you Shakur! Keep going! Happy to see good things happen for cool people. The past interview with Dollicia Bryan is under the hood…..
