Fat Beats Opening Up A Pop Up Store In Brooklyn Every Month (Video)

The iconic hip hop store for real hip hop that once boasted locations in NY, Atlanta, LA, & Amsterdam is returning in the form of a monthly pop up store. The monthly event will be called “FB BK” & will feature guest DJs spinning at Fat Beats’ Brooklyn warehouse. The first event is scheduled for this Saturday between 12pm-8pm at 110 Bridge Street Brooklyn NY 11201. If you happen to be in NYC you should go check it out.

The Detroit area is killing it with these all of these highly talented producers & emcees. Check out this interview with 14KT who, to the mainstream masses, is one of the Detroit area’s best kept secrets on the boards. His fortunes are changing in terms of the familiarity lane as was also the winner of the Red Bull Big Tune producer battle. In addition 14KT produced this new banger called ‘Sweet Tee Ish’ featuring Boog Brown that we’ve been digging over here where he flips an old school Sweet Tee record. Unique Squared Launching Their Mobile Recording Studio In Atlanta

Unique Squared was our primary sponsor for the ‘Beatz & Lyrics 2 Go’ Mixtape during the A3C festival. With their help we were able to outfit an RV with over $25,000 worth of equipment for the entire recording process outside of the A3C event. Unique Squared has decided to make things bigger & better as they plan to unveil their new RV this Thursday night in Atlanta at Engine 11 located near the intersection of North Ave & Peachtree. Engine 11 is more specifically located between Peachtree & W. My brother put me onto this video from this group Sun Zoo. I believe this is a Phillipino hip hop group reppin’ with that Pinoy influence. When the video began to play I immediately recognized the talented producer illmind on the keyboards. After listening to the first emcees lyrics he mentions that illmind produced it. iLLmind hasn’t been associated with anything wack as of late & this joint right here is no different. Damn near everything he’s been involved with has been banging. The female in the group Tasha definitely shines too with the ill flow & lyricism. I’m not surprised that illmind is produced this joint because everything he’s been involved with has been bangin.

This joint literally dropped on the web about one year ago this week. After posting the Pharoahe Monch video featuring Idris Elba I just felt the urge to post this joint. JAYFORCE.COM wasn’t in existence a year ago so it’s only right to post this in case many of you have missed it. Before actor Idris Elba’s acting career jumped off he mostly paid his bills by DJing parties. In this particular song produced by 9th Wonder, Idris Elba steps in the role of an reggae influenced emcee by the name of King Driis.
